Privacy

OneTapTimer is built so that there is as little to say about privacy as possible. The short version: everything happens on your device.
What we collect
Nothing personal. There are no accounts, no signup, and no forms anywhere on this site. The timers, stopwatch laps, countdown dates, interval settings, and alarms you create exist only in the browser tab where you made them. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Local storage
We use your browser’s local storage for exactly one thing: remembering whether you chose light or dark mode, so the site doesn’t flash the wrong theme on your next visit. That preference never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Cookies and trackers
We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t embed third-party ads, social widgets, or analytics scripts that follow you across the web.
Device features
Finish chimes, interval cues, and alarm sounds are generated locally with your browser’s Web Audio API. No microphone, camera, location, or notification permissions are requested at any point.
Children
Because we collect no personal information at all, OneTapTimer is safe for anyone to use, including children, with no special handling required.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Questions about how a specific tool works? About OneTapTimer explains the details, and How We Calculate Dates covers the date math.
